mobile phone bill shock – New bill cap from Vodafone
Vodafone are introducing a billing cap from October 2018 for all new and renewing customers.
From October 2018 Vodafone will be giving you the opportunity to set a monetary cap for each mobile phone number on your account. Vodafone state by giving more control to customers over their usage, the new bill cap will reduce the risk of a ‘bill shock’ and significantly improve the customer experience.
From 1st October 2018, every new and upgrading customer must be asked at the point of sale whether they want a cap on their monthly bill and by how much.
– If you opt in to the cap you will receive a notification by text message when you reach 80% and 100% of your spend limit.
– You will be given the ability to amend the cap at any point within their billing cycle.
– You will not be charged should Vodafone continue to provide access to other services that would be covered by a bill cap after you have reached your limit.
